Mühsams wiederholte Aufenthalte in Meiningen waren Ausgangspunkt für die Fachtagung: „Erich Mühsam in Meiningen. Ein historischer Überblick zum Anarchosyndikalismus in Thüringen: Die Bakuninhütte und ihr soziokultureller Hintergrund“, die vom 11. –14. Juni 2015 in Meiningen stattfand. Der vorliegende Tagungsband dokumentiert in acht Fachreferaten diese Spurensuche nach dem soziokulturellen Kontext.

Julius Dickmann (1894-1942) war ein bedeutender marxistischer Theoretiker der Zwischenkriegszeit. Es gibt bislang keine Neuauflage seiner Schriften. Lediglich im Internet kursieren einige wenige Artikel von ihm. Die Schriften Dickmanns sind von großer Originalität und hohem theoretischen Niveau. Sein wichtigster Text »Das Grundgesetz der sozialen Entwicklung« (Wien 1932) ist auch heute noch von Relevanz. Simone Weil war davon stark beeinflusst.
